Sculptra is different from traditional fillers: instead of filling a line instantly, it works with your body to stimulate your own collagen production over time. How it works
Sculptra contains poly-L-lactic acid, a biocompatible, biodegradable material. Injected into the deeper layers of skin, it stimulates collagen growth. The product itself is gradually absorbed; the collagen you build stays.
What to expect
- Series: most patients need about three treatment sessions, spaced 4–6 weeks apart
- Results: develop gradually over a few months as collagen builds — you won't see the final result on day one, and that's by design
- Duration: results can last two years or more in many patients
- Aftercare: massage the treated area as directed (often the "5-5-5" rule — 5 minutes, 5 times a day, for 5 days)
- Side effects: swelling, bruising, tenderness; less commonly, small bumps under the skin
Is Sculptra right for me?
Sculptra may be a good fit if you want a subtle, gradual change and prefer to support your own collagen rather than add volume all at once. It is not recommended if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have an active skin infection in the treatment area, or have a history of keloids or allergy to any product ingredient.
Why we don't offer hyaluronic acid fillers
HA fillers give instant volume in a specific spot, but they can sometimes shift or "migrate" away from where they were placed. We prefer products like Sculptra that your body naturally metabolizes and that work by building your own collagen — for gradual, natural-looking results that stay where they belong.
